Where is the GHSA baseball state championship in 2024? ›

The 2024 GHSA Baseball State Championships were held May 16-21 at Coolray Field, AdventHealth Stadium and JI Clements Field.

The 2024 GHSA State Baseball championships will be held on varying dates from May 16 through May 21. Adventhealth Stadium, home of the Rome Braves, and Coolray Field, home of the Gwinnett Stripers, will host games, along with JI Clements Field on the campus of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.

The Georgia High School Association has partnered with the NFHS Network to broadcast state championship events live on the NFHS Network.

J.T. Curtis of Louisiana leads a list of nearly 70 football coaches with 10 or more state championships.

The top four states of New York, California, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania 223 championships. All other states and D.C. combined have 268. Out of New York's 66 championships, the Yankees have 27 (40.90%) of them.

Last week's GHSA games were the first played under a new rule passed by the association's executive committee. The so-called "mercy rule" allows teams to shorten lopsided games with the use of a running clock in the second half. While this may have been done unofficially in past games, it's now official.
