Times Media profits double as 70,000 digital-only subscribers added (2024)

Profits at Times Media, publisher of The Times and The Sunday Times, doubled in 2022 as the group added 70,000 digital-only subscribers.

Pre-tax profits rose by 115 per cent to £73.2 million in the 12 months to July 3, up from £34 million the year before. Operating profit rose to £73.2 million, up from £36.3 million. Revenue for the period rose to £373.4 million, up from £327.1 million the year before.

“The future for The Times and Sunday Times remains strong with a continuing commitment to the delivery of high-quality journalism and incisive commentary. We are committed to exposing The Times and Sunday Times journalism and unique storytelling capabilities to new audiences in new, compelling formats,” the directors said.
