Pine Crest is my home, where I am surrounded by colleagues that feel like family. This is my fifth year working here and I absolutely would not want to be anywhere else. Faculty and staff are so incredibly supported by administration. There are plenty of opportunities for professional development and growth. Teachers are happy here, and the overall climate is positive. The students are mature and a joy to work with. The campus is pristine, and the school is constantly looking for ways to stay ahead and think forward. I would never want to be anywhere else!

I have attended Pine Crest School since first grade. Since that time I've taken part in a multitude of activities. During that time I have participated in theater and found my second family full of people who I feel most comfortable. My teachers, for the most part, have been phenomenal. The resources are plentiful and the facilities are excellent at Pine Crest. Coming from a middle class family, I often felt ostracized from the majority of the students who were better off financially. The worst part of my experience was the lack of socio-economic diversity. I'd like to see the school make more of an effort to include students from various backgrounds. In order to do this the school could offer academic scholarships like other private schools in the area do. However, the friendships I have made over the years are ones I will cherish for a lifetime. Because of Pine Crest I am confident I will enter the next chapter of my life prepared to fulfil my potential.

Like other reviews that have been posted, Pine Crest has a great reputation but the quality of the education has continued to deteriorate over the last 10+ years. The school used to be geared towards top academic performers and now has become more for the average student who has wealthy parents. Very little is done to help advance the top students particularly in math and science. Gifted students in a sense are being held back because they are not getting exposed to a more advanced curriculum. The school is very rigid with little diversity and has a culture of bullying being an accepted practice. The school has lost many of its brightest students due to this culture.
To the school's credit, the college advising department is still very connected to top universities leading to great college admissions but I am not sure how long that will continue. Also the best college advisors typically get assigned to the most affluent families who donate the most to the Pine Crest Fund.

Pine Crest has a great reputation; however, I feel like the quality has decreased significantly over the past 5 years. They have implemented a new math approach that caters to the middle performers. For the tuition that they charge, they do very little to individuate the curriculum for their students. They are doing very little to challenge their more gifted students.
They have great test scores, but that may be in large part because of their extreme redshirting practices. Additionally, rumor has it that the teachers and administration give special concessions to students from affluent families who contribute to the Pine Crest fund. Last but not least, their administration is extremely rigid in how they deal with their students, teachers, and parent volunteers. They think they are the best, and they have no intention of doing anything to improve upon their current practices, even if they are antiquated.

Pine Crest is truly my favorite place in the world. I have spent 14 years here and am a few weeks from graduating, which is bittersweet to say the least. Pine Crest had taught me to follow my passion and do what I love rather than get caught up in the competition for impossibly high GPAs and ACT scores like many of my classmates have. The teachers and administration have taught me to be a human being rather than a number on a piece of paper. I would not be nearly the person I am today without Pine Crest.

Going to Pine Crest has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Although the curriculum is challenging, the teachers are unmatched, always ready to help where help is needed. It is a smaller school where administrators know who you are and everyone feels welcomed and included.

Pine Crest School is an institution like no other. The school community - from faculty to fellow students - encourages everyone to be the best they can be and to celebrate their differences, pursue their talents and leave the school a better place than when they arrived. I am so fortunate to be able to attend such an extraordinary, and I am grateful to have this opportunity. During the beginning of the pandemic - when other schools were trying to set up their distance learning systems - we were already way ahead and learning on DAY ONE. That is a testament to the incredible leadership and dedicated faculty who have one priority.....THE STUDENTS. I know that I will take my Pine Crest memories and friendships with me when I venture out in the working world, but I will always remember how this school prepared me for the fast-paced world. Especially in chaotic times like this, I realize that I have been taught adaptability and flexibility....and that is thanks to my amazing teachers

PC is a very good school academically. There is no focus on diversity and inclusion and this is huge for a school of its kind in today’s landscape shaping the next generation.
