What Other Home Cooks are Saying About Crock Pot Bacon Baked Beans

“I absolutely love this recipe and have made this several times already. I would suggest you drain off some of the liquid in the pork & beans can before adding it to your crock pot for a thicker result which I prefer. I also like to add a little Worcester sauce to balance the flavor. Thanks for this recipe!”

I have never been a fan of just plain ole pork and beans from a can – but this recipe has really changed my mind. I added hot dogs like another review did. OMG – great beans and franks. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.

I was never a fan of beans since I was a kid and my parents made me finish them on my plate that one time. 27 years later I was put in charge of beans to bring to my friends house so I found your recipe. Whelp. Now I love these little sweet morsels of happiness. So much for the 10lbs I lost.

      Hi Rachel!

You can use the technique in this recipe to make smaller recipes in larger crock pots: https://www.recipesthatcrock.com/crock-pot-oatmeal-steel-cut/

I haven’t tried this recipe on the stove, but think it could work. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!

Can you make these beans leaving the bacon uncooked prior to adding to the crockpot and letting it cook while the beans cook?

      Hi Rhonda!

I’m not sure what you are asking. The ingredients all cook together to make a nice, thicker sauce for the beans. If that is what you mean, then yes. I hope this helps!
